As part of the new website, San Diego based companies and people will be featured in webinars and podcasts. From the existing website content, we will still feature all information including any job postings, local consultants and current events.

This Lean Leadership Series is a 3-part series designed like a book club to explore the learning of the book Learning to Lead, Leading to Learn authored by Katie Anderson featuring Isao Yoshino’s 40-year career at Toyota.
Join us to study this book in a 3-part series Wednesdays 4/7, 4/21 & 5/5 from 2:30-4pm PT
Everyone will be guided to read the book section by section, with page goals, discussion questions, and food for thought provided by members and the discussion leader Tracey Minutolo from Hologic.
The first session on April 7 will include live discussions and Q&A with author, Katie Anderson.

Brian Hand (UC San Diego Health): Brian Hand is a Sr. Transformational Healthcare Coach at UC San Diego Health. He provides advanced Lean training, facilitates improvement workshops, and coaches. He is passionate about developing problem solvers and does so by creating a safe and trusting environment for learning to take place. Brian has 26 years of Lean and engineering experience from industries including automotive manufacturing, aerospace, healthcare, and holds an engineering degree from San Jose State University. He is passionate about process improvement and organizational transformation centered on people.

Starting 5/13: LeanWright Black Belt Program
4.5 full days or 45 hours plus project time Prerequisite(s): LEANwRIGHT LSS Green Belt or Equivalent LSSGB Certification Description: This class provides an advanced level of Lean Six Sigma (LSS) with in-depth coverage of the LSS tools and concepts. Focus is more on inferential statistics, Design of Experiments (DOE), Quality Tools, Improvement Kata and leadership of LSS and mentoring of lower rank LSS Belts. Class includes videos, exercises and multiple simulations to reinforce the concepts presented. Students receive complete binder with LSSBB materials included in the cost of the class. Each student must pass a 100-question exam on LSS and then complete LSS project to be certified. Projects (or multiple Kaizen Events) are expected to have savings of $100,000 per year
Thursdays: 9a-1p May 13th, 27th, June 10th, 24th and final class (with exam) on July 8th
A recognized LSS Green Belt certification is required for this class (or taking above course)
Requires Microsoft Excel with add-in of SigmaZone XL Add-In (included in cost of program)
Students will receive 3-ring binders with all learning materials and Lean Six Sigma pocket guide / reference book

UC San Diego's Lean Six Sigma Leader Course
This program will provide you, as the leader, with the tools to become a skilled mentor to drive organizational change and ensure that process improvement projects align with your business’s mission and overall objectives. Through an effective blend of learning techniques, this training will provide you with the critical knowledge to confidently build a continuous improvement culture and inspire behavioral change.
