Position Summary and Responsibilities

The Quality Manager develops, implements and maintains the activities of quality assurance systems and processes, including but not limited to, internal audits, CAPA, MRB, calibration, training, process metrics, etc.  Oversees development and implementation of standards, methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision, accuracy and reliability of company products. Focuses on ISO program improvements and enhancing documented procedures and work instructions.  Develops budget and monitors expenditures. Makes recommendations for corrective action necessary to ensure conformity with quality specifications.  Ensures finished products conform to government and company standards and satisfy good manufacturing practices regulations.  Selects, develops and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

The Engineering Program Manager drives projects from concept through delivery meeting or exceeding internal and external customer requirements. Director, Customer Experience

Job Overview:

Working closely with our C.E.O., the Director of Customer Experience plays a pivotal role in leading, developing, and implementing strategies to enhance the overall customer experience within the organization. This position requires a deep understanding of operational excellence, customer needs, a passion for improving customer satisfaction, and the ability to drive cross-functional collaboration to achieve exceptional results. This is a newly created position.


Our Hybrid Work Program: To create vibrancy and foster collaboration, while providing for hours spent working from home, we have implemented a hybrid work schedule. We work from the office in Poway on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday and every other Wednesday. Fridays and the other Wednesday are spent working from home. Team members can always work more hours in the office, if they choose.


Essential Functions:


Strategic Leadership:

· Develop and execute a customer experience strategy aligned with the company's mission and goals.

· Define and champion a customer-centric culture throughout the organization.


Customer Journey Mapping:

· Analyze and map customer journeys to identify pain points and opportunities for improvement.

· Implement changes to enhance the overall customer experience across touchpoints.


Data Analysis and Insights:

· Collect and analyze customer feedback, surveys, and data to identify trends and insights.

· Use data-driven decision-making to improve the customer experience.


Process Improvement:

· Collaborate with various departments to optimize processes, workflows, and systems for a smoother customer experience.

· Develop and maintain service standards and protocols.


Technology Integration:

· Evaluate and implement customer experience technology solutions (e.g., CRM systems, feedback tools) to enhance service delivery.


Employee Training and Development:

· Works closely with Business Support and Systems Services to ensure all customer-facing employees are well-trained in delivering exceptional customer service.


Complaint Resolution:

· Oversee the handling of customer complaints and escalations, ensuring swift and satisfactory resolution.


Customer Satisfaction Measurement:

· Develop and monitor customer satisfaction surveys and Net Promoter Score (NPS) to assess and improve customer loyalty.


Budget Management:

· Develop and manage the budget for the customer experience department.


Compliance and Quality Assurance:

· Ensure adherence to industry regulations and company quality standards in all customer interactions.


Continuous Improvement:

· Foster a culture of continuous improvement, where feedback and insights are used to drive ongoing enhancements.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (business, marketing, etc.), advanced degree preferred, or previous experience. 

  • 10 years previous, progressive experience in a leadership role within customer service or an associated customer experience role. Previous operations experience is also required. Six Sigma Green belt preferred.

  • Strong understanding of customer experience principles, best practices, and emerging trends.

  • Exceptional leadership and team-building skills.

  • Analytical and data-driven decision-making abilities.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency in customer experience technology and data analytics tools.

  • Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and compliance standards.

  • Ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

  • A passion for delivering exceptional customer service and fostering a customer-centric culture within the organization.

  • High Intermediate / Expert level experience with: Office 365 – especially Excel (Vlookups, Pivot Tables, Macros). Experience with ERP systems – at an admin level also required.
